Convenient and economical, the gas bottle deposit system makes your life easier. Every time you want to change your gas bottle, you pay only for the gas refill, and not for the bottle.
When you make your first purchase, you receive a gas bottle in exchange for a deposit, and buy a load of gas that corresponds to the content of gas inside the bottle.
At your next purchase, you bring back your empty gas bottle, which you exchange for a full gas bottle and pay for the price of gas only.
Totalgaz bottles are given to the customer in exchange for the payment of a deposit.
The customer who pays this deposit then obtains a deposit form along with his bottle.
The bottles that are loaned out to customers remain the property of Totalgaz. The bottles are loaned out for an unspecified period.
You can bring your gas bottle back to a Totalgaz retail outlet at any time and have your deposit refunded. To do so, you must present the original deposit form or a copy.
If you do not have the original deposit form or a copy*, (specify if you registered at www.totalgaz.fr (in french only) or by post using the T envelope provided to that effect for any deposit after 1 February 2008), your deposit will not be refunded. However, even in the absence of a deposit form, the retailer is obligated to accept all Totalgaz bottles that are brought back.
